The Valle de Oro National Wildlife Refuge abuts the southern end of Albuquerque, New Mexico. It provides important habitat for many birds, and in the winter months geese and sandhill cranes frequent the area. This picture taken in the late afternoon reminded me of a dream, a peaceful pastoral setting, a timeless day.
