Description
The Ancient Forest is an inland rainforest to the east of Prince George, British Columbia. This incredible forest depends upon the subsurface water of the Upper Fraser River Valley watershed to survive. The Forest is a link in a chain of connectivity known as the Rainforest Conservation Corridor. This corridor is one of the last places in the world where these 7 species are found together: Mountain Caribou, Chinook Salmon, Grizzly Bear, Wolverine, Lynx, Cougar, and Gray Wolf. I cannot even begin to describe how wonderful and amazing this place is, and recommend you visit the site: http://wetbelt.unbc.ca/af-trail.htm
Or better yet, visit the forest! It is easily accessed off Hwy 16, east of Prince George.
