Artist's Description

Cottonwood South Dakota is known as a ghost town. However, I hesitate to call it such as twelve people still live there according to the road signs. The town has a mayor, a garbage service (one dumpster) and several buildings which remain from the time when the town thrived. This two story brick building is boarded up. It appears to have been a mercantile (general store) of some sort.
