Description
This stone structure with numerous cubbyhole-like openings leading to a circular opening at the top is a Dove Cot. The dome shaped roof is corbelled, and the opening allows the birds - pigeons or doves - to fly in and out. The birds would nest in the numerous openings inside the circular building. This is a restored building which was originally erected in the 14th century at Trinitarian Abbey in Ireland.
