Mt. Rainier rises dramatically in the distance over the Salish Sea. In the foreground, the 1860 Ferry House on Ebey's Landing glows in the setting sun. This scene can only be seen on a clear day, a unique event in the Pacific Northwest state of Washington. Ebey's Landing National Historic Reserve is unique to the state and can be found near Coupeville on Whidbey Island in Island County.
