Architectural lines dominate the composition of a modern pedestrian bridge captured in black and white photography. The repeating pattern of the bridge's support beams creates a rhythm as they curve overhead, leading the viewer's eye towards the vanishing point at the end of the pathway. This is the Farnam Pier at the end of the Riverfront Park in Omaha, Nebraska. It extends over the Missouri River. When walking on the pier, you feel like you are surrounded by the ribs of a whale, and can't help but think of Jonah being swallowed.
