A small marmot sits perched on a rocky outcrop, surrounded by sparse vegetation. Its gaze is directed toward the distance, with a backdrop of blurred greenery and rugged terrain.
I am not sure if this is a yellow bellied or hoary marmot. It was in a rather arid environment in eastern Washington.
