Just south of Santa Fe, New Mexico, is a sculpture garden called "Origami in the Garden". The sculptors start with an origami construction and then transfigure them to large metal sculptures. This is a detail of a large metal origami tulip sculpture.

Geometric shapes in vibrant colors like green, red, and yellow create a striking abstract composition. The shapes overlap and interact, forming a play of light and shadows against the backdrop of a blue sky.
