This image was featured in the BBC “Your pictures on the theme of minimalism” for the week of October 23, 2021.
A young pair of ravens were atop the flat roof of an adobe style house in drought stricken New Mexico. They were drinking water ponded on the roof from a rare overnight rain. I made this image as one of them flew away.
