Stromkarlen--Water Sprite in Trollhattan Sweden metal print by Mary Lee Dereske. Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The sculpture Stromkarlen, a water spirit in Scandinavian folklore, was erected in 1911. This regulating dam is on the Gota Alv River. Trollhattan Falls (which are only allowed to run several times a year, are below the dam, Vanern lake is above. The sculpture model was created by a stonecutter, Carl Eldh. Look closely and you will see a young couple on the overlook.
