The sculpture Stromkarlen, a water spirit in Scandinavian folklore, was erected in 1911. This regulating dam is on the Gota Alv River. Trollhattan Falls (which are only allowed to run several times a year, are below the dam, Vanern lake is above. The sculpture model was created by a stonecutter, Carl Eldh. Look closely and you will see a young couple on the overlook.
