New Mexico is known for its blue skies, but this exceptionally dark blue sky occurred between bouts of rain in southern New Mexico at White Sands National Monument. The sun shone on the gypsum sand dunes, creating a beautiful, sensuous, contrast with the darkened sky. Please note this is a 2:1 panorama.
