Location, location, location. This bird's nest in southern Colorado definitely takes advantage of the views! Although I think the winds probably sweep across the plains here quite regularly. The distant mountains are the Sangre de Cristo ("Blood of Christ") range. This area is in the broader Rio Grande Valley.
