Getting an image of lightning is challenging. There's always a little bit of apprehension as the thunder roars and the wind whips around you, and you wonder if it would be better to run for cover instead of trying to keep your camera and tripod steady. The strikes are such lovely beauty that I find it worth the apprehension.
Every time I try to describe what "type" of photographer I am, or what photography "means", I find the words are as fleeting as the perfect moment of light on a scene. I'm a native daughter of Michigan, now living in New Mexico. The two places are like apples and oranges. I love them both.
